St. Kizito’s Parish – Munuki

St. Kizito’s Parish – Munuki

Historical Background:

St. Kizito’s Parish is one of the eight (8) Parishes of central deanery of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba.  Started as a chapel under St. Joseph’s Parish in early 1983 by the late Rev. Fr. Philip Ottorino Sina MCCJ (Comboni missionary Father) and later it was declared a parish in 1987 by H.G. the late Emeritus Archbishop of Juba Paolino Lukudu Loro MCCJ. The Apostles of Jesus Missionaries administered the parish after the Comboni Missionaries until 1997 when the Diocesan priests took over.

Location:

St. Kizito’s Parish is located in Western Juba, with HQs in central Munuki Block B, plot number 1705 with an area of 23,450 square meters. St. Kizito’s Parish borders Holy Rosary Parish Buluk to the East, Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish Gurei to the West, Sacred Heart Parish Kworijik to the North, and Holy Trinity Parish Nyakuron to the South. It covers Munuki, Suk Hajar, Mauna, Dar Es Salam, Hai Tarawa, Rock City, Gudele, Lokwilili, Kugi, Timondi, Joppa, Hai Referendum, Mia 7, and Eden, part of Kameru, Nyarkenyi and Part of New Site.
